Artist/Healing Cancer

Mindfulness/Insight Meditation taught me the most profound lesson I've ever learned~that my body is my guide. Before meditating, I said my life was "run by my thoughts;" afterward, I see that my life is guided by my body. As Myra kept reminding us: "A thought is just a thought."

Search For Peace

On this search for peace, I've tried journal writing, Cognitive thought records, Doctor visits, evaluations and second opinions. A group to spill my fears, a therapist with Freudian ears, to whom I just talked and talked...At last a new door opened, learning moment to moment, to practice attention to the surround sound, momentary awareness and mindfulness. Thoughts come and go in degrees...and that's ok. That's ok?!

Body-Scan Tape

The benefits of your relaxation tape (Guided Body Scan)is helping me tremendously. I keep it on my night table and switch it on as I go to sleep and, again, in the morning. It's a quiet tape in feeling. Because there is not too much talking, it allows me to meditate at my own pace. Thank you for your help at a very difficult time in my life.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Tapes

These tapes do it!! .. that is, they help me do it. Having a tendency to react to stressors, rather than wait, and take appropriate action, I always seemed to be in a state of anger or stress. Daily practice of mindfulness meditation has helped me be aware of myself, my actions and reactions, and primarily to stay present, rather than project. I look forward to hearing Dr. Weiss' voice, which is calming and helpful. I am definitely more relaxed, less stressed, and the bonus is I have become kinder, since using the tapes
